Surf Bar-NY

Surf Bar
139 N 6th St
Brooklyn, NY 11249

As seen on
-Throwdown
-Hook Line and Dinner

There's sand on the floor?  Surfy, beachy memorabilia on the walls? An entire menu page of alcoholic fruity beverage treats? Am I in sweaty Williamsburg or a breezy tropical island? Surf Bar is like going on a vacation to an island with all your hipster friends all at once. Host of Hook Line and Dinner, Ben Sargent, once was the chef here and made his award winning chowders part of their menu. Although he doesnt work here anymore the chowders stayed. Thank Goodness!!!! I tried the monk fish chowda and it was awesome. Lots of chunky potatoes and peppers. Chunks of fish with a little curry going on. Really hardy and really hot, not really summer food but to die for in the below freezing winters in NY. I've never been to a place like this.Iit was really a chill spot to sit back and have some fruity drinks with your friends.
