-Drinking Made Easy

I have never been to Hawaii so I honestly have not visited this location. I saw the show Drinking Made Easy and Maui Brewing Company caught my eye. Once I heard coconut beer, I knew i had to track it down. After searching the Internet and making a few phone calls, it was apparent I wasn't going to find this liquid gold on the east coast. Maui Brewing has no distribution on my side of the Country so I had to mail order it from Cali. Due to shipping, the 4pack of cans cost me about $20 to my door. Good luck getting some because it is illegal to ship beer to NY. Everyone online was bragging about the toasted coconut taste. Ill be honest, when it comes to beer I am a wuss. I only drink light beer and cant get into the dark. Unfortunately, for me this is very dark. I was unable to pick up the subtle coconut flavors. It is tolerable to drink but maybe that's because I paid so much for it. OWell, I'm sure if you like a dark beer this is good stuff. I also hear if you are in Hawaii the brewing company is the place to be for good food and a good time. So check it out

If you think Auntie Anne's is the best pretzel you've ever had... well you've got it twisted.  Miller's Twist was a pleasant surprise. Located in the heart of the Reading Terminal Market, a food lovers paradise. Reading Terminal is a must visit while you are in Philadelphia. They had a bunch of different types of pigs in a blanket (they were pretty huge pigs... because they used hot dogs and sausages) and it was worth trying. How about a philly cheesesteak wrapped into a pretzel. Only in Philly. They were DELICIOUS!  They have a few dips to partner with their pretzels and it was a perfect pairing. We also got the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel and that was delicious too -- great way to end a meal!

Hattie's is the best fried chicken in the area hands down. This is a quick alternative to their original restaurant on Phila St. in Saratoga. Whenever I'm in Saratoga we stop at Hattie's but now we will be stopping at the chicken shack. The same great food half the price and no wait. I even say fresher then at the restaurant. We had chicken salad, fried chicken, hush puppies, and a fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken sandwich was the star of the show. It is huge and super delicious and just stacked with crunchy fried goodness! There is so much good here its hard to figure out what to eat without ordering half the menu. Service is good and staff is friendly. The chicken is fried to order so don't expect super fast food speed. Its ok to wait a little for quality. Not a huge selection on the menu but hey, you're really only there for the chicken.  A sandwich, drink and a side its between $10 and $15. A little much for a sandwich but dam its good! If you want some delicious southern fried chicken then this place is as good as it gets. This is no KFC so expect to pay alittle more. I hope Jasper can take this national I would love a Hattie's Chicken Shack by me.
