Just voted best breakfast in Maryland by Food Network

I stumbled across Miss Shirley's while on a trip to Baltimore with my friends. We woke up tired and hung over and said lets get some good breakfast but had no idea where to go. So someone came up with the bright idea to simply type BEST BREAKFAST IN BALTIMORE into google and WAAAMMM.....Miss Shirley's. We traveled out of our way and waited almost an hr in line but boy it was worth it. By far the best breakfast around. The coconut stuffed french toast is the best and the sweet potato fries.....yummy. Omelets everything was perfect. I traveled back to Miss Shirley's with my fiance recently for a second helping and cant wait to go back again i need to try the Smores french toast.

This place is a hole in the wall in a bad part of town. Just walking up to it is intimidating for a punky  white kid. They are famous for serving up LAKE TROUT which actually doesn't come from a lake and isn't even trout. Being totally out of my element and uncomfortable i order up some lake trout with collard greens and mac and cheese. This place has some serious soul food. Everything was really good. I shared it with about 5 of my friends and they all said it was great too. The lake trout was like little sardines fried up and still had the bones in it so eating it was tricky. Definitely had to pick some bones out of my mouth but was really good some of the best fried fish I've ever had.

Lombardi's Pizza-NYC

Lombardi's Pizza
32 Spring Street
New York, NY 10012-4173

www.firstpizza.com/

New York City was the birth place of  New York style pizza. Lombardi’s Pizza is America’s first pizzeria, serving up original coal fired oven pizza since 1905. Still using the same original oven that is over a 100 years old Lombardi's is still flipping pies on Spring St in Manhattan. If you come on a weekend expect to wait in a long line. This pizza is thin crust and crispy. Not as crispy as New Haven style pizza but still alittle to thin for me. I'm a thick doughy kinda guy but this pizza was very good. Fresh mozzarella, basil, and a nice sauce. I hear their clam pie is outrageous. I will definitely be trying that next time.

Dinic's Roast Pork-PA

Reading Terminal Market
1136 Arch St

PhiladelphiaPA 19147

You cannot visit Philadelphia without going to Reading Terminal Market, and when you go to the market you MUST go to Tommy Dinic's. After having seen this on the Food Network and numerous food shows I had DiNic's on my priority list to try out on my recent trip to Philly. In fact, so prioritized it was that I passed up on the urge for so much other food in the market  and made a bee-line for Dinic's. You would have to be stoned if you weren't blown away by Dinic's roast pork, sharp provolone with broccoli rabe? It was way better then I expected which turns out is hard to find nowadays. It was my first time having broccoli rabe and it was not bitter at all. This sandwich really works I was surprised. I even passed up a cheesesteak at Geno's just to come here. It was worth it.

Dumpling Man-NYC

Dumpling Man
100 Saint Marks Place
New York, NY 10009
(212) 505-2121

When a restaurant only serves one thing, they better do that one thing well. Such is the case for Dumpling Man in the East Village. As you head down St. Mark’s Place you are suddenly drawn to a small Asian eatery simply named, “Dumpling Man". At Dumpling Man, you actually can watch them being made, and filled, and cooked right in front of you. If you have never had a hand made fresh dumpling you don't know what you have been missing. Pick your meat and your veggies then either steamed dumpling or pan-seared. They even have dessert dumplings. This is one of my favorite NY spots. Ive been returning here for years.

Also check out this ridiculous video of Al Roker eating at Dumpling Man for his show Roker on the Road.

The owner of Dumpling Man appeared on Throwdown Dumplings as a judge.

Thanks to "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" on Food Network I had been dying to go to Stand. We had burgers & fries. The burger was really good alittle small. By far the best fried pickles I have ever had anywhere including down south. Also the best Sweet Potato fries anywhere. However, what we REALLY went there for was the Toasted Marshmallow Shake. This little beauty is heaven in a glass. How do they get it to be so toasty marshmallowy ? Boggles my mind. I have returned since multiple times. A great place to eat while you waste away a summer after noon in the village.

Hattie's is hands down the best "Soul Food" in upstate NY....
The best fried chicken I have ever tasted, OMG!...  I want to try more of the menu, but I cant NOT get the chicken when I go here.  I walk in thinking I'm gonna try the jambalaya...or the fish but soon as I'm asked what I want... the same words come out of my mouth... "I want the fried chicken please!"  lmao...
Go taste what I'm talking about.

Be prepared to wait , sometimes up to an hour, for their famous fried chicken that beat Bobby Flay.

Eagle's Deli-MA

Eagle's Deli
1918 Beacon St
BrightonMA 02135

Eagles Deli's epic hamburger list is favored by the restaurant's mostly Boston College customer base. BC football players are fond of the Godzilla burger, a pound of meat with loads of cheese, while the Eagle's Challenge burger (five pounds of meat, 20 slices of cheese, 20 bacon strips,5lbs of fries) is free if one can finish it within an hour. Famous for their burger challengers Eagles will most definitely have a burger the right size for you.

I went for a small 1/2 lb burger for lunch. It was good. Not the greatest but not bad. Reminded me of a cafeteria type burger even a step below Ruby Tuesdays or TGIFridays. If you are in Boston i would not waste my time.

A Salt & Battery
80 2nd Avenue
New York, NY 10003

This is suppose to be the best fish shop in NY maybe even the country. After seeing them on Throwdown and kicking Bobby Flay's ass this was a must go. Might be my favorite restaurant name of all time too. I love fried fish and just about fried anything.

They have a whole bunch of different fish you can get fried up. Also shrimp and MAR'S BARS!!!!! Anyways this place is super small and divey. The fish was great but the shrimp were better. They also have weird English soda that I've never seen anywhere. I cant wait to go back for some truly authentic English food.

I visited this restaurant after seeing in on the food network's DDD. My only thought after eating here... WOW !! Never did I think a hot dog could taste so good. You can get a plain dog too...but why? They have so many different kinds to choose from, and the flavor combinations are absolutely unbelievable!! Best dogs ever. Try the Chicago and the California.

Country Pancake House-NJ

Country Pancake House
140 East Ridgewood Avenue
Ridgewood, NJ 07450-3848
(201) 444-8395

The Country Pancake House is famous for its 90 flavors of  huge pancakes. And these aren’t any ordinary pancakes. They are the size of a tire.

Complimentary Chocolate Chip Corn Bread on every table is amazing. 9 egg omelets!! Not to mention everything delicious too!!!

I ordered an omelet because I was intimidated by the size of the pancakes but the omelet was the size of a Nerf football. Not to mention all their eggs come with 2 normal size pancakes and homefries.
Next time I will surely order the GIANT pancakes I cant wait.

Uncle Bubba's-GA

Uncle Bubba's
104 Bryan Woods Road
Savannah,
GA 31410

Uncle Bubba's claim to fame is that he's Paula Dean's brother. Let me be brutally honest here.  I originally went to Paula Deen's famous The Lady & Sons first, but didn't want to wait in line for a buffet (buffet food is never the best way to experience something the famous fried chicken would be cold and mushy).  To make up for the loss, I decided to try Uncle Bubba's since he is Paula Deen's beloved little brother.

This place is alittle outside Savannah on your way towards the ocean. I was on my way to Tybee Island so this was on the way. The place was packed and the only place to sit was at the bar.

Started off with the fried pickles and a dozen raw oysters. These pickles were perfect. Really good and the oysters hit the spot. Nice and fresh.  Then our meals came out. I ordered the low country boil (shrimp, kielbasi, potato's,corn) and my fiance got a chicken sandwich with Paula Deen's famous fried chicken. Well her famous chicken isn't anything special really. I liked it alot but my fiance didn't even finish it and hates this place lol. My boil was kinda lame to. Basic OldBay and the shrimp were kinda mushy. Its a cool place to check out if you are in the area or a fan of Paula's.
