Faicco's is one of New York City's oldest businesses, and has been serving up high-quality meats, imported Italian specialties, and prepared foods in the West Village since 1900. Always a stop on the many of New Yorks foodie tours for sandwiches, aranchini, fresh butchered meats, and cheeses to name a few. Faicco continually gets picked top Italian mix sub in Manhattan by food blogs and foodies all over. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. Killer cold cuts, fresh homemade mozzarella, sundried tomatoes on a seeded semolina. This place gives Arthur Ave a run for its money. I'll be back

White Mana has some pretty hefty credentials to live up to. A New Jersey Institution since 1939, serving 3000 burgers a day. This location was the actual first diner introduced to the world, at the 1939 world's fair in Flushing Meadow Queens. The owner had 5 White Manna locations around Nj but only 2 survived. Somewhere down the line the Jersey City location dropped an N and is now Mana. 

We are talking real sliders. This was before White Castle. White Castle ripped White Manna off.  They have just the right mix of grease to onion to cheese. At $1.12 a piece you'll probably eat 4 or 5. I've been to the Hackensack location a number of times and I must say it out preforms the Jersey City guys. Food Fueds thought so too!

This place rocks. Super quirky great food killer atmosphere.  Can't wait to go back. Portsmouth is such a cool town. Great shopping and such a nice place to spend the afternoon.  The Friendly Toast is knocking out crazy food. Green eggs and ham?  Helz yes. Pecan omelets?  Why not. Fresh made bread daily, made in house, which changes from pizza bread to pumpkin. Carribean waffles, pancakes piled high, biscuits and gravy. I'll be back.

Ran in quick to pick up some truffles. Fritz Knipschildt is supposed to be the greatest Chocolatier since Jacques Torres. I was extremely disappointed and his shop has recently closed. I guess the celebrity chef had it wrong. Nothing special to see here.

Who would have thought, you could elevate the ordinary pb&j to epic proportions?  I surely didn't think it was possible but now I am a believer. This place has been on my radar for years. I never bothered cuz I thought, "It's Peanut Butter!?" Well this was the best freaking peanut butter sandwich I've ever ate. They have tons of flavors of peanut butter. You can usually find their stuff in your local grocery store. White Chocolate, maple, spicy, cinnamon raisin, or chocolate chip to name a few. I got the most popular Elvis with honey, bananas, and bacon. I was impressed.

Need some homemade meats and pierogies? Of course you do and so do I. There is few places around to get homemade pierogies like great grandma used to make. Polish platters of sauerkraut and kielbasa. Stuffed cabbage, pastrami, and venison jerky please. This place rocks if you are in the Pine Island area but if you aren't the Smoke House in Saugerties is better and the pierogies on rt28 are better also. Worth a stop.

I cannot express the beauty of a single hot bite of Malassada. Picture the best fried dough you have ever had. Seriously, better then the fair or carnival. Better then zepolies or funnel cake. Whatever you think is the best times two. Covered in cinnamon and sugar. They are frying them all day, right in the window. With a line out the door you are guaranteed a hot one.

Also had some kind of cream filled coconut cake which was enjoyed, but honestly I don't know how anything could compare to the fried dough. 

I will be back again whenever I'm on the Cape. I forgot to mention, this place is crazy cheap!
