Phillips Seafood-MD

Phillips Seafood
301 Light Street
Baltimore, MD 21202-1070
(410) 685-6600

Located right in the heart of the Inner Harbor Phillips offers your typical seafood menu. Crab, fish, oysters, clams, ect fried grilled steamed however you like. They are world famous for their crab cakes so I had to try, Although the crab cakes were good I had better upstairs in the mall food court for lunch. I also had better at Obrycki's which is where I would recommend you eat if you want crabs in Baltimore. Phillips is just a tourist trap in a tourist area. Since it is a chain most their food is probably frozen and shipped to multiple restaurants across the US. They ship their crab cakes and I also believe you can buy their frozen crab legs at places like Sam's club. By far the best thing about Phillips is their view of the Inner Harbor which is magnificent. I love Baltimore and you cant beat the Inner Harbor all lit up at night for dinner.

-Unique Eats

What's not to love about this place.  The menu is simple - choose a type of sausage (beef, pork, chicken, lamb, turkey, asparagus) and a type of sauce (jalapeno cheddar, truffle gruyere, sundried tomato feta, chimichurri, ect).  After that, they impale a baguette on a metal spike that makes room for the sausage. The cook the bread from the inside out. Slide the sausage into the baguette and your ready. They also make homemade sodas (coconut, lemon, grape, strawberry, ginger) that are really cool.
The seating is a bit unique.  They have a long communal table with butcher block seats under the table.  You slide a block out and cop a squat.  They also have some seating against one of the walls, with a little side table between the seats to rest your meal.

Tavern 17-PA

Tavern17
220 S 17th St
Philadelphia, PA 19103
Rittenhouse Square

Saw this place on Rachael Rays vacation show and knew I had to bring my pup to try out the doggy menu. They had chicken, beef, and turkey maybe a hot dog and even dessert. All choices were $2.50 and they bring it to the table in a nice doggy bowl.
I have seen alot of negative review of this place online but cant say I had any issues. We made it there during happy hr and the $1 sliders were so good. For $1 seriously that's so cheap. They also had $3 drink specials that were pretty good. They have some nice outside seating and it is 1 block from a really nice park. I would definitely go back again for some sweet sliders.

Grease Trucks-NJ

Grease Trucks
College Ave & Hamilton Ave
Lot 8

New Brunswick, NJ 08901

A Rutgers/New Jersey late night institution. Though also open during the day, these trucks are packed with hungry, drunk Rutgers students all night. All sandwiches are stuffed with multiple meats, fries, vegetables, and condiments. For example, the Fat Phillipino has Cheese Steak, Gyro meat, Chicken Fingers, Mozzarella Sticks, White Sauce, french fries and lettuce and tomatoes all stuffed in one sandwiches.  All their sandwich's are called FAT something and they are all topped with fries.  If you can eat 5 fat sandwich's you can name your own and they will put it on the menu.  Classic sandwich's such as the Fat Bitch and the Fat Cock started to offend people so they were legally forced to change the names of the sandwich's. But if you like jalapeno poppers, chicken fingers, fries, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings all on the same sandwich this is the place for you. The most famous sandwich is the Fat Darrell which is named after the Rutgers student that invented the first Fat sandwich.

Mitsuwa-NJ

Mitsuwa
595 River Road
Edgewater, NJ 07020
(201) 941-9113

Mitsuwa is the largest Asian market on the east coast. Just about the size of your local Hanaford or Shoprite but with the addition of a huge food court holding 5 or more spots to eat authentic Asian fair. Ive been visiting Mitsuwa for a few years now on River Rd in Edgewater to fill my Asian fix. This place is so serious they have a free shuttle bus from Chinatown daily. Whatever you need they have. Japanese toilet paper, Japanese hair dye,  Asian soap, Asian Mayo, Asian salt, Asian eggs, anything a regular store would have but you cant read any of the packages. Its so much fun trying to figure out what you are looking at.

My fiance and I always pick up some stuff we have never tried before and it is usually a surprise. They have sushi, a bakery, meat, seafood, drinks, Hello Kitty, candy, octopus, crabs, green tea icecream, samples of stuff. The parking lot is usually a mess this place is always packed.

Isles of Saki and beer all Asian of course

Toothpaste anyone?

Pads?

But there is 1 thing we always come back for. We drive an hr and a half just for 1 snack.  Creamyaki from a booth in the food court. A waffle type dessert filled with creamy pudding. Shaped like fish or with different animals on each side. This is worth the trip alone. SO good and still hot and steaming. I almost forgot to mention they own a few stores outside selling Asian books and Asian stuff. Also a sushi place right on the pier overlooking NYC. This location is so great you can grab a few bites go outside and overlook Manhattan across the Hudson River.

Plastic food you know its authentic
