When the world-ending catastrophe happens, I will come to Flour to eat my final meal.This means any anxiety stemming from the possibility of extinction via Climate Change, that Mayan 2012 thing, Nuclear Holocaust, or Zombie Apocalypse affords me some treats here people!!!
Flour was on Throwdown for sticky buns and whipped Bobby Flays ass. So when Bobby was on The Best Thing I Ever Ate of course he picked their buns as his favorite sticky food. Located on Bostons South Side, Flour has been dishing out some of Bostons best pastries for yrs. Now with multiple locations you can get your sticky on all over Boston. They also serve kick ass sandwiches and homemade sodas. The sticky bun was good but my wife was in love with it. Covered in pecans and sticky syrup. The rest of their desserts looked just as good. This location was alittle tricky to find on a industrial side street but is a nice stroll from the aquarium. If I was staying over night in Boston I would definitely come here for breakfast.

Located in the food heaven of Fanueil Hall and surrounded by some of the best food I have ever seen, Carol Ann's bake shop makes all the classic hits. Muffins, scones, whoopie pies, strudels, cookies, brownies, all kinds of pastries. Rachel Ray visited Carol Ann's on her show $40 a Day. With all the good food in the Quincy Market this place is at the bottom of the food chain. Very lack luster run of the mill bake shop. I would skip and get a macaroon next door at Kilvert and Forbes. The Quincy Market is overflowing with vendors of all types. Some of the most beautiful food I have ever seen, it is extremely overwhelming. Carol Ann's did have a Boston Cream Puff that looked good but I didn't try it. My best advice is to definitely go to Quincy Market to eat but save your stomach some room and eat somewhere else.

Fried Chicken HEAVEN! I seriously can't stop thinking about this place. I want more of this glorious fried chicken. A very southern feel small restaurant that has HUGE flavor in their homecooked food. Located in the epicenter of all Hipsters, Williamsburg Brooklyn. This is one of the spots leading the hipster foodie culture in NYC. Fried chicken, waffles, biscuits, pies, hush puppies, mac and cheese, if its southern comfort they have it. Also desserts like smores pie, banana cream, apple, or sourcream cherry.I grabbed a chicken biscuit which is a piece of fried chicken breast smothered in hot sauce on a biscuit covered in honey butter. It was pretty awesome. I cant wait to go back. I hear their egg nog doughnuts are to die for also. Don't forget a piece of apple pie with a nice thick wedge of cheddar.

Good chocolate cake, but definitely not the best. What used to be "The Best Chocolate Cake In The World", now the same place has been re-introduced as "Choco Bolo". Everything remains, more or less, the same and with only enough seating to accommodate 10 people max. I like the place because it's very small and cozy. The chocolate cake actually contains NO cake? Imagine a french macaroon. Multiple layers of chocolate macaroon and chocolate and creamy fudgey goo. Now imagine that macaroon 10 times larger.. like the size of a cake. A cake sized french macaroon. Extremely light and airy. Melts in your mouth with alittle crunch. It was incredibly rich and one bite is more then enough. Unfortunately that one bite was like $4 and change. Probably only worth the stop if you are a real and I mean REAL chocoholic.

I saw the best looking ice pops I have ever seen, on TV, and knew I had to go. Pop Bar is located in the village right next to Washington Square Park. The colors of all these pops are amazing. They have both gelato and sorbet. Gelato on a stick is kinda weird but makes perfect sense. We walked inside and stared in awe at all the different kinds of gelato/fruit popsicles they had. I went for a pistachio covered in milk chocolate, and crushed pistachio's while my wife settled for the passion fruit dipped in chocolate and covered in coconut. The pistachio pop was delicious - rich, creamy, and flavorful. The whole nuts added the perfect crunch. It wasn't that hot outside but this was amazing. I travel to so many places on TV that aren't anything special but this is. White chocolate, hazelnuts, coffee, granola, coconut. With so many dips and toppings and flavors the possibilities are endless.

I've had some serious venezuelan food and I've seen the arepa girls of Caracas on Throwdown. So I had some really high standards for this place. Arepas are  little sandwhichs made with a cornmeal bun and filled with delicious meats sauces and vegi's. Latin food uses big flavor and boy is it good. Maybe I hit this place on the wrong day but the areapa was bland and needed salt or something. I've had better and they were kinda small and expensive. You coud easily eat 2 and 3 for a dinner. Valencia Luncheria in Norwalk CT blows this place away in every category. The meats and sauces were good but I just couldnt get over the bun/bread. With so many food choices in the east village I wont be stopping back here again. There are better places to grab lunch on the same street. O ya 3 of the 4 we ordered were wrong.

This is the most authentic place that i've ever been to. I have never been so transported while walking into a spot. An amazing place for a cozy meal and amazing scones & tea even the employees have thick accents. It's a tiny little British themed tea spot and when I say little I mean you cant even walk in. Scones come in pairs w/ clotted cream and jam.What is clotted cream anyways? Meals are well portioned and reminds me of real  home-cooking. There is a gigantic selection of amazing teas and pudding for dessert. The only downside is that if you get scones, tea and dessert, it'll put you over $40 easy. But it's so worth it that it's hardly a down side. Oh, also it seats probably 20 at most at a time, so if you go during peak times, there will be a wait, period. I highly recommend for special occasions or just to treat oneself and a friend once in awhile. The assortment of crazy British desserts for afternoon tea is great. Ive never been to Britain but I cant imagine it being any different.O ya I almost forgot do yourself a favor and stop at Asalt and Battery next door for Throwdown winning best fried fish in the country.
