Hominy Grill-SC

On our last day in Charleston, we grabbed breakfast at the Hominy and it was so good we made reservations for dinner. We had much anticipated eating here after seeing it on every food show in existence. Originally a barber shop in the 1880’s, it's one of Charleston’s most beloved restaurants. Don't miss the Big Nasty which, true to it's name is a buttermilk biscuit topped with a whopping piece of fried chicken drenched in sausage gravy and cheese. The Shrimp and Grits are the best around and the desserts are amazing.Their chocolate pudding was featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate picked by Alton Brown. I can't wait to go back to Charleston and the Hominy will be my first stop.
